Happy Independence Day, America! Today is the 4th of July, otherwise known as the JA’s favorite holiday. (He’s all about America and is known to have MANY flags around his room/residence.)
For many, this is a day of rest and relaxation. For me, it means work. As part of my job, I am responsible for coordinating students to participate in the area’s 4th of July parade. It’s a bit
cumbersome stressful hectic at times, but totally worth it to see/hear the response from the crowd as the float passes. After the parade, the JA and I are heading out to a friend’s annual party where there will be plenty of beverages, croquet and fireworks over the water.
I’m very much looking forward to it. Have a great day!
Question: What motivates you when you have to work a holiday/day that most are traditionally off work? Today, it’s totally the promise of my toes in the sand, friends and fireworks.
