Presents!

So I know today is generally Try It Tuesday and apologize for the lack of posting yesterday. Since we worked on Sunday, the school always kindly gives us the following Monday off.

Which means we went out for the Ravens/Steelers game. If you saw the game, you know it was a HUGE win for us Ravens fans. There was a lot of celebrating happening.

Which led to a very, very lazy morning. But a wonderfully productive afternoon – we met with a priest and have set a date for our wedding! It is such a relief to know that a big piece of the day is handled and now I can begin researching and contacting other pieces of the puzzle 🙂

But what is a birthday/engagement without presents?

My first came from Colleen, who I met in real life last week. We got frozen yogurt at Tutti Frutti and had a nice, long chat. I found out that she went to high school with my sister, among many other Smalltimore coincidences. She’s very mature for her age, has a wonderful sense of style, and is a ton of fun so I encourage you to check out her blog if you haven’t already!

Then there was a nice basket of towels from one of the Moms at school. The card was about taking the plunge – so clever! There have also been cards and even a loaf of pumpkin bread. We are truly blessed to work in such a loving, supportive environment.

We also went out with a group of friends to celebrate. It was great to see all of them; between law school, work and various other activities, it’s been forever!

Thank you to everyone for your well-wishes and birthday love!

  1. Yay! On setting a wedding date!! That was definitely the most stressful part for us…I didn’t feel like I could do anything else without having the date so I could get the location and then really start moving forward!

Soo…when is it?! So exciting that we are planning at the same time! 🙂

Mom said your ring is gorgeous!

    • EXACTLY. Ours in early fall 2012. I’m so excited to have a date set and begin planning everything else! It was so funny seeing your mom the other day; we had a great chat!
