On the Shoulders of Giants

He’s gone. Our president passed at sunrise this morning, the feast day of the order in which he was consecrated. While it is still difficult news to hear, the entire community knew he was at peace and ready to pass on.

He was a great man, a teacher of many and a friend to all. He was brutally honest and would tell you, in not so flowery terms, exactly what he was thinking, exactly what needed to be done, and how he wanted to do it.

the JA and I were supposed to get engagement pictures shot today and thank heavens we cancelled. It’s been a grueling week for all of us involved with the school, and as sad as we are to see our president pass, we all know that he was ready to move on. After a five-year journey with cancer, the best medicine available, and a heck of a fight, who wouldn’t be? He taught his class up until last week, always putting the boys above himself.

We miss you already, BJK.
