Opposites Attract?

Often, I talk about being a ‘type A’ personality.

Wikipedia describes a Type A individual as,”ambitious, aggressive, business-like, controlling, highly competitive, impatient, preoccupied with his or her status, time-conscious, arrogant and tightly-wound. People with Type A personalities are often high-achieving “workaholics” who multi-task, push themselves with deadlines, and hate both delays and ambivalence.”

Eek. Good or bad, that’s me! While I’m trying to be more laid back in general, I find that it’s easier when I have things under control or, if someone else is doing it, what the status is.

The JA is totally a type B – described as, “People with Type B personalities are generally patient, relaxed, easy-going, and at times lacking an overriding sense of urgency. These individuals tend to be sensitive of other people’s feelings.”

I guess opposites really do attract?

(Oh, Paula Abdul. Fun fact: Forever Your Girl was one of my first cassette tape purchases.)

What type of personality are you? Here’s a quiz to find out!

  1. Ha! Nick and I have the same dynamic, except he will go Type A out of the blue when it comes to sports or anything competitive.

    • You would. I mean, you also change sports allegiances in order to improve your running time. You realize you’ve jinxed your bet with your Gram now, right? 😛 In all seriousness (or not?) thanks for sharing the video. Family Guy for the win!
