Sometimes a quiet weekend is what one needs to recharge and reset. The weather this weekend seemed to think so as well.

A cloudy, overcast, rainy Saturday lent itself to a workout in the morning, a quick nap in the afternoon, and some de-cluttering in the evening.

Sunday consisted of lazing around, attending an Eagle Scout ceremony for one of the JA’s former students and another relaxing evening. We ended up getting sucked into Discovery Channel’s “Frozen Planet.”

Synopsis (from the Discovery Channel website): From the makers of Planet Earth and Life, Frozen Planet is the ultimate portrait of our earth’s polar regions, where the scale and beauty of the scenery and sheer power of the natural elements are unlike anywhere else on the planet.

The JA and I are suckers for this sort of thing. The cinematography is incredible and the subject matter just lends itself to additional commentary (watch out, baby ox – a wolf pack is on its way to eat you!!)

Hope you had a good weekend, too!
