The JA has a new favorite game to play on his phone: Plague. The premise is to create a plague that will kill the world’s population. Not quite fair when he did a stint at a research institution analyzing the H1N1 virus.
Watching him obsess over this game got me to thinking about my own gaming habits. When I gave up Facebook on my phone for Lent, I began to rely on things like Tangrams, Cut the Rope and Angry Birds for entertainment.
But what about before that? When the electronic games were the new big thing and board games were all the rage? I loved Candyland growing up, then it transitioned to Ask Zandar (yeah, I know I’m dating myself, but whatever. I’m cool with it), and now my favorite ‘board game’ is Apples to Apples.
What was your favorite board game as a child?
