Yesterday, the JA and I went back to work. Having presents on your desk and a decorated office certainly eases the transition. (As does returning on a Wednesday.)
Another thing that’s back? Modern Family. Gosh, I love that show.
We’re also back to M&T Bank Stadium to watch the Ravens tonight. We’re not the only ones going back – the regular referees will also return this evening . Thank goodness!
“Today is a day you will always remember
The greatest in anyone’s life
You’ll start off the day just two people in love
And end it as Husband and Wife
It’s a brand new beginning the start of a journey
With moments to cherish and treasure
And although there’ll be times when you both disagree
These will surely be outweighed by pleasure
You’ll have heard many words of advice in the past
When the secrets of marriage were spoken
But you know that the answers lie hidden inside
Where the bond of true love lies unbroken
So live happy forever as lovers and friends
It’s the dawn of a new life for you
As you stand there together with love in your eyes
From the moment you whisper ‘I do’
And with luck, all your hopes, and your dreams can be real
May success find it’s way to your hearts
Tomorrow can bring you the greatest of joys
But today is the day it all starts.”

We had a wonderful day surrounded by family, friends, co-workers and a few of “our boys.” I can’t wait to see how the professional pictures turn out! In the meantime, here are a few snagged from Facebook:
Now that the wedding’s over, I’m hoping that I can return to blogging on a more regular basis. I’ve missed chatting with all of you and hope that you’ll have me back.
We spent a few days in St. Michael’s following the wedding. The break gave me time to rejuvenate. I’m ready to share some new ideas, experiences and my new life with all of you, so thanks for sticking around!
Good morning, everyone!
So sorry for the lack of posting, but we’ve been busy!
This past weekend was one for final touches: my last dress fitting was Friday, programs came in that afternoon, the JA and I placed the last detail on our favors, the seating chart has been printed, and I’ve made my way through this bad boy to ensure our catering company/day of coordinators know what’s up without having to bother us.

This week is shaping up to be another busy one for both of us. Better get crackin’ – the faster the week goes, the sooner the wedding!
So. difficult. to. focus.
With our wedding a week away, a jam-packed schedule, and work out the wazoo, I’m finding it hard to focus on one thing. I’m trying to delegate smaller ‘to do’s to Mommy Janks (who, thank goodness, doesn’t mind running around while I’m at work) but I like having a hand in what is going to be one of the most important days of my life.
Last night, I brought some work home with me and, after knocking some wedding stuff out of the way, sat down and rocked that copy. Some peace and quiet (or just Sex and the City in the background) does wonders for my productivity at this point.
Time to kick this Wednesday’s butt. This time next week, I’ll be finished with work and pampering myself before wedding day!
Welp, the weather finally turned cool here in Baltimore. And, as the title suggests, that means one thing in my house – sweatpants.
Once the cool air descends upon us, I pull out my comfy sweats and thicker blankets. It’s heaven – that type of weather when you leave the windows open at night and don’t want to get out of bed in the morning because the room is chilly. With highs in the upper 80s with a ton of humidity this past week, it’s looking a lot more fall-like in these parts this week. It makes me super happy.
The other part of this post hints at something of which I’m very proud of myself for doing. I follow someone on Twitter and, by chance, met her while shopping on Saturday. I debated on whether or not to go up to her and introduce myself (hello, stalker), but decided that it really could do no harm. So I walked around the store, worked up the courage, and called her by her first name (all the while hoping and praying that it was actually who I thought it to be). It was and we ended up having a half decent conversation (if I wasn’t so dang flustered it probably would have gone better).
While it was a bit scary for me to make ‘first contact’, I was so glad I did. While connecting online is great, it was nice to meet someone face to face. We work in the same industry and now I don’t feel bad asking for a coffee date to brainstorm ideas!
Did you do anything that you’re proud of this weekend? Brag away!
Last night was pretty routine around these parts – Barre Fusion class, a glass of wine and some arts and crafts.
Well, all that and a touch of Orioles Magic 🙂

Baltimore began it’s home stand against the New York Yankees last night and oh, what a game. A packed baseball stadium, the unveiling of a statue for Cal Ripken, a bit of suspense in the eighth inning, and an eventual win for the O’s. I only wish I could have been part of the crowd.
What a way to start the weekend. Cheers to Friday!
This past holiday weekend was one of great relaxation and yesterday was, well, the first day back. Not only that, it’s was the first work day of wedding month which equals a tad more stress than usual.
Therefore, I’m taking the easy way out and giving you a quick rundown of the past few days in pictures. Happy Wednesday!
