Christmas All Around

I mentioned on Friday that I felt behind in my holiday preparations, and while I still have a boatload of shopping to do, our house at least looks (and smells) like Christmas.

Friday night while the JA was at grad class, I took the opportunity to drag the decorations out of the attic. Tree was assembled, nativity set was put in place, and other decorations were scattered around the first floor.

Saturday was the baking day. Six dozen cookies later, I ventured out to prepare for the predicted snowfall. We ended the day with a viewing of Rudolph – one of our favorites!

Sunday, we traveled back to the church where we were married to celebrate another occasion. I became a godmother for the second time! The roads were getting iffy at this point (I was driving about 40 mph on a major highway) and we were glad to make it out and back safely!

Today is a snow day for the JA, but staff has to report (booo). Looks like there’s more snow in the forecast, so fingers are crossed for a full day off for both of us tomorrow!
